Thunberg took a decisive action in August of the year 2018. She calmly sat outside the Swedish parliament, boycotted class and wore a sign that said "School Strike For Climate". The reason she felt it was important to draw the attention of politicians to take action to stop the global warming. Swedish media captured Thunbergs strike and the word spread. In the weeks that followed, students all around joined Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture movements. Students opted to skip Friday school to protest global warming. Climate activists from all over the world came together to organize the very inaugural Global Strike for Climate. It was an enormous achievement. It was attended by more than 1.6 millions people took part in 125 countries.
